Pre-Conference Workshop Modernization: Delivering on the Strategic Deterrent
As the U.S. continues to navigate the complexities of the evolving international landscape, advancing the strategic deterrent remains vital for national security. This pivotal workshop offers a unique opportunity to expand perspectives and deepen understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are shaping the modernization effort.
In this 3-part session, leading experts will delve into the critical facets of integrated modernization. They will emphasize the importance of synchronizing efforts to effectively address emerging threats, and illustrate how modernization influences operations, workforce, and overall mission execution. The speakers will delve into strategies to mitigate risks associated with components, and supply chain challenges and the importance of maintaining the integrity and reliability of our deterrence capabilities.
The experts will also focus on NSE collaborative opportunities between the DOE/NNSA and DoD, and innovative approaches such as contracting and public-private partnerships imperative for advancing our strategic objectives. To close out the session attendees will hear from key figures in the NSE who will provide valuable insights and updates on current research and development, milestone achievements, and plans for the NSE.
