FINAL ETEC RTP DELAYED DUE TO DISCUSSIONS WITH BOEING

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy is delaying the release of the final Request for Task Proposals for the Energy Technology Engineering Center environmental monitoring and D&D procurement due to ongoing discussions with Boeing, a DOE official said yesterday. Environmental work at ETEC is currently being performed by Boeing, which owns the broader Santa Susana Field Laboratory where ETEC is located. DOE had originally planned to issue a final RTP by Nov. 23 after releasing a draft in September open to holders of DOE’s small business indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery cleanup contracts.

The official did not provide details on when the RTP could come out or what the discussions with Boeing involved. “DOE is delaying the planned release date of the Final ETEC RTP due to ongoing discussions with Boeing,” the official said in a written response. “An updated Draft ETEC RTP package is posted on the EMCBC procurement website. Environmental Management Nationwide Multiple Award ID/IQ Set-aside Contract Holders have the opportunity to review this update, which incorporates revisions resulting from input DOE received during the pre-solicitation conference and one-on-one sessions held during the week of September 16, 2013.”
