The Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District issued a solicitation yesterday for remediation services at its Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program site in Luckey, Ohio. The contract for environmental remediation services and ancillary construction to support the cleanup is worth up to $100 million over 10 years, with a base period of five years and an optional ordering period for an additional five years. The Corps listed the task order as set-aside for small businesses, and task orders will be issued either as Firm Fixed Price or Cost Plus Fixed Fee depending on the nature of work, the solicitation said. The majority of the task orders are anticipated to be CPFF, however.
The Corps is currently planning to consider bids for the new contract on four criteria in descending order of importance—technical approach, past performance, key personnel, and management/organization approach. Each factor will assist the Government to ensure the selected Offeror meets the program goal – to safely and efficiently remediate the Luckey Site in accordance with the Record of Decision, the Corps said.
