2015 RadWaste Summit Kicks Off

The ExchangeMonitor 2015 RadWaste Summit kicks off this week in Summerlin, Nev. Key topics to be discussed including: the overall Department of Energy waste mission, changes in spent fuel and nuclear waste policy, upcoming Nuclear Regulatory Commission low-level waste regulations, and updates on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers cleanup at FUSRAP sites. Key note speakers include Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.), the Department of Energy’s Frank Marcinowski, and New Mexico Environment Department Secretary Ryan Flynn.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
