BNL PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE SET FOR THURSDAY

By ExchangeMonitor

Will there be a challenge to incumbent Brookhaven Science Associates at Brookhaven National Laboratory? An answer to that question could come into sharper focus this week as the Department of Energy holds a pre-proposal conference Thursday for its BNL procurement. The meeting will include a tour of the laboratory as well as insight into the recently released Request for Proposals. BSA is a partnership of Battelle and Stony Brook University, and its contract expires Jan. 4, 2015. BNL is the first Department of Energy Office of Science contract competed since the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory in 2009, and a handful of companies have shown interest in the contract, including Fluor, CB&I, IBM, URS, Booz Allen Hamilton, Arcadis, and Fermilab contractor Universities Research Association. Representatives from Enercon Federal Services, Fortinet, MicroTech, Professional Services of America, and Protection Strategies Inc. also attended an industry day for the contract last year.
