By ExchangeMonitor

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued a solicitation for a contractor to clean up the DuPont Chambers Works Atomic Energy Commission site in Deepwater, N.J.

The Philadelphia District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Wednesday issued an updated request for proposals (RFP) to award a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP).

The initial notice was published Feb. 16. Since then, a visit to the site originally set for Friday, March 8, has been rescheduled for March 22, according to the notice published Wednesday. Contractors interested in the site visit should contact the Corps by March 15.

The 1,450-acre property, now owned by Chemours, is located along the eastern shore of the Delaware River..

The agency plans to award a combination firm fixed price and cost-plus fixed fee contract to clean up soil contaminated with uranium, thorium, radium and other constituents.

“Vendors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database to receive a government contract award,” according to the RFP.

Offers are due April 4.
