DOE SEEKS SMALL BIZ TO PERFORM WEST VALLEY PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENTS

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy is seeking small businesses able to perform probabilistic performance assessments and apply decision analysis tools to D&D work at the West Valley Demonstration Project, posting a sources sought notice yesterday. The contract would start by Jan 1, 2015 and would be under a joint effort between DOE and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority that would use a tripartite contract structure. The scope includes three elements, according to a draft statement of work: “(1) perform sensitivity analyses to provide near-term direction to site data collection activities, (2) transition existing components of a deterministic PA to a probabilistic modeling platform to identify changes necessary in the model structure, input parameter distribution, the need for additional data, or the need for different modeling approaches, and (3) prepare a long term probabilistic PA to support decision making.” Interested companies must submit a statement of capabilities by May 5.
