GAO TO TESTIFY AT HEARING ON NAS WEAPONS LAB STUDY

By ExchangeMonitor

Gene Aloise, the Government Accountability Office’s Director of Natural Resources and Environment, has been added to the roster of witnesses scheduled to testify at Thursday’s House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee hearing on the management of the NNSA’s nuclear weapons laboratories. The addition of Aloise bumped former Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group President Bob Cochran from the list of witnesses, which still includes Charles Shank, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Director that co-chaired a National Academy of Sciences lab management study, NAS committee member Charles Curtis, former Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Michael Anastasio, former Sandia National Laboratories Director Paul Robinson, and former Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Director George Miller. The NAS report is expected to be released Wednesday, a day before the hearing.
