Here’s a look at some key events going on this week:
- The National Nuclear Security Administration celebrates the expected completion of the B53 dismantlement Tuesday with an event at the Pantex Plant.
- U.S. and Russian arms control will be the subject of several D.C.-based events this week: former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright headlines a Brookings Institution panel on “The Prospects for Missile Defense Cooperation and Arms Control” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and Rep. Michael Turner (R-Ohio) will be part of a Heritage Foundation Panel on “The Strategic Risks of the Reset” at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
- A House Science Committee panel will hold a hearing Thursday morning to review the recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Future, the Administration’s panel examining nuclear waste disposal options.
