Here’s a look at a number of events and meetings we will be keeping an eye on this week:
- Today at 1 p.m. the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding a meeting at its headquarters in Rockville, Md., to discuss its recent report on saltstone disposal at the Savannah River Site.
- On Tuesday, URS is set to hold an investor call to discuss its first quarter 2012 financial results. The call is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
- Babcock & Wilcox will reveal its earnings for the first quarter of 2012 on Wednesday and will hold a teleconference with investors at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
- The House Armed Services Committee will mark up the Fiscal Year 2013 Defense Authorization Act starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Portions of the bill deal with the National Nuclear Security Administration and DOE’s Office of Environmental Management.
- Both Perma Fix and EnergySolutions will hold conference calls this week to go over their earnings from the first quarter of 2012. On May 8, Perma Fix will hold its call 11 a.m. ET. The next day, May 9, EnergySolutions will hold its call at 10 a.m. ET.
- The Texas Compact Commission will hold a meeting on Thursday, May 10, its first gathering since Waste Control Specialists opened for operations and the commission’s import and export rule went into effect. The meeting will be held at the Texas State Capitol building in Austin, Texas, time TBD. Export petitions, incidental commingling and in-compact disposal rates are among the issues on the meeting agenda.
