Here’s a look at the events we will be keeping an eye on this week:
- The chairs of the various Citizens Advisory Boards located near Department of Energy cleanup sites are scheduled to meet this week in Washington. The Oct. 2-3 meeting, to be held at DOE headquarters, will involve presentations from DOE cleanup chief David Huizenga, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Planning and Budget Terry Tyborowski and Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Waste Management Christine Gelles. - The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board will hold a public meeting and hearing Tuesday on safety in the Uranium Processing Facility project at the Y-12 National Security Complex. The meeting will take place from 1-5 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention Center.
