NNSA CONFIRMS HOAG REASSIGNMENT TO OAK RIDGE SITE OFFICE

By ExchangeMonitor

Dan Hoag, the Deputy Manager of the NNSA Production Office, has been “temporarily reassigned” to the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Site Office where he will provide “senior level technical support” while a review of federal security oversight is conducted, the NNSA confirmed Friday. NW&M Monitor reported last week that Hoag, the senior-most federal official assigned to the Y-12 National Security Complex, had been reassigned in the wake of the July 28 security breach at Y-12, and an internal memo from NNSA Administrator Tom D’Agostino Friday indicated that Hoag would be “filling a critical void for the Office of Science and enabling the Department to benefit from the experience and leadership of one of our executives.” Brig. Gen. Sandra Finan, the Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Military Application in the agency’s Office of Defense Programs, is conducting a review of the “organizational structure of security oversight and chain of command.”
