Nominations Accepted for Johnny Foster Award

The ExchangeMonitor Publications & Forums is accepting nominations for the Johnny Foster Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented at the Eighth Annual Nuclear Deterrence Summit, scheduled for Feb. 16-19, 2016, in Arlington, Va.

The award is named for former Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Director Johnny Foster, who was the inaugural honoree in 2013. It recognizes those individuals who have been “dedicated to serve the greater good and security of the nation not only as a public servant but also as a citizen, to ensure the credibility and viability of the U.S. nuclear deterrent and for leadership that continually inspires others to achieve extraordinary goals.”

Nominations can be submitted here. The deadline for nominations is Nov. 13.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
