By ExchangeMonitor

Senior U.S. and U.K. government nuclear cleanup officials and contractors Tuesday morning will compare and contrast the two nations’ approaches to this work, for which the U.S. Department of Energy and U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority each spends $5 billion to $6 billion annually. The speakers will offer insight into the successes and challenges in this sector, along with lessons learned for companies that already are or are considering competing in both nations.

The panel, “U.K. NDA — U.S. DOE Perspectives on Contracting Approaches,” will be held from 10:15 a.m. to noon in Exhibit Hall 4. The panelists are Peter Lutwyche, Sellafield Program Director, U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority; Jack Surash, DOE Office of Environmental Management Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition and Project Management; Dyan Foss, Global Managing Director, Nuclear Sector, CH2M Hill Inc.; Julianne Antrobus, Strategy Director, Atkins; and Greg Meyer, Senior Vice President, Environmental and Nuclear, Fluor Corp.
