CHANTILLY, VA – Amentum has announced Corhyn Parr as its vice president of international development on Tuesday. Parr previously served as the CEO of Nuclear Waste Services, a subdivision of the United Kingdom’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and was the director of Integrated Waste at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
After graduating as a mechanical engineer, Parr has been involved with the nuclear industry for over 20 years, working in operations, generation, decommissioning and waste management across most of the nuclear licensed sites in the United Kingdom, according to the release. She has also worked internationally in Canada, USA and other European countries.
While Parr has served in CEO and director roles, she has served in various other roles such as a board member of the Nuclear Institute and the chair of the Nuclear Skills Strategy Group.
In Parr’s previous role as the director, she brought its Radioactive Waste Management and Low-Level Waste Repository together to form one singular organization and created an integrated national program.
Senior Vice President of Amentum Energy and Environmental International Andy White stated that Parr will bring a lot of knowledge and a unique perspective in particular areas in international collaboration, sustainable nuclear and environment solutions.
“We are excited to welcome her aboard and look forward to her leadership in expanding our international presence and developing innovative strategies that meet the needs of our global clients,” White stated.
