Amentum, a major contractor for the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense, has seen little impact so far from cost-cutting efforts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the company said last week.
“Although a limited number of our contracts for the U.S. government have been affected by DOGE and other changes in budgetary priorities by the new administration, the impact has not been material to date,” Amentum said in a financial report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The same goes for tariffs announced so far by President Donald Trump’s administration, the Chantilly, Va.-based company said in its 10-Q quarterly report.
“The tariffs that have been enacted by the U.S. or other countries did not materially impact our business or financial results for the three months ended June 27, 2025,” Amentum said. “We are currently evaluating the potential future impacts of the announced tariffs on our business and financial condition.”
In fiscal 2024, Amentum generated about 90% of its revenues from contracts with the U.S. federal government, either as a prime contractor or a subcontractor, Amentum said.
Amentum reported a strong earnings quarter last week.
