Amentum to relocate to new office HQ in 2027

By ExchangeMonitor

Amentum will move its headquarters from Chantilly, Va. to Reston in early 2027, the company announced Feb. 19.

The nuclear engineering and technology solutions said it has signed a lease for 45,000-square-feet of office space at 1900 Reston Metro Plaza, according to its press release. The sixteen-story building is certified to meet modern energy efficiency and environmental standards and was designed by architect Helmut Jahn.

Amentum said the new headquarters will enhance the company’s “employee experience” while streamlining operating costs.

Amentum’s investment in our new Northern Virginia hub at Reston Station reflects the expanding opportunities of our company and where we are headed,” Amentum Chief Operating Officer Steve Arnette said.

Arnette continued: “Ultimately, the new headquarters strengthens our ability to deliver integrated solutions aligned with global demand and government priorities, including across our accelerating growth markets of global nuclear energy, space systems & technology, and critical digital infrastructure.”

Reston is roughly 11 miles away from Chantilly, where the current office is located.

Amentum relocated to Northern Virginia in February 2023 after being headquartered in Germantown, Md. for a handful of years.
