The international nuclear company AtkinsRéalis Group said Tuesday it has bought out the remaining interest in a U.S.-based energy consulting company that it invested in last year.
In a Tuesday Nov. 3 news release, the Montreal-based AtkinsRéalis said it has bought out the rest of David Evans Enterprises for what amounts to $130 million in U.S. currency. In April 2025, the nuclear company took about a 70% ownership stake in David Evans with an option to buy the rest later, which it has now done.
With the final deal done, David Evans becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of AtkinsRéalis, while operating under its name and management, according to the news release.
Based in Portland, Ore. David Evans is involved with renewable energy and electric transmission projects. David Evans Enterprises is the parent of David Evans Associates.
“Since AtkinsRéalis first invested in David Evans, our teams have developed a deeper understanding of our complementary capabilities and identified new opportunities to work together,” AtkinsRéalis President and CEO Ian Edwards said in the release. “Acquiring the remaining ownership interest is a natural next step that reflects our confidence in David Evans people, capabilities, and client relationships. It also advances our U.S. growth platform and strengthens our ability to connect expertise and resources in support of clients across the country.”
