Montreal-based AtkinsRéalis said recently Chief Operating Office Philip Hoare is leaving the company this summer to pursue other opportunities and his exit leads to the return of a former AtkinsRéalis executive.
On Aug. 23, Louis Véronneau will return to AtkinsRéalis and succeed Hoare as chief operating officer, the company announced in a June 17 press release.
Separately, in a Tuesday July 8 press release, AtkinsRéalis announced the hiring of Heather Royston to be the company’s new environment business executive for the United States and Latin America. Royston has more than 30 years of management experience in the engineering and environment sectors, the company said.
Royston joined Atkins this month, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. She has previously worked in management jobs at Hatch, Aptim, ERM and AECOM.
As for the CCO, Véronneau is a 30-year industry veteran who most recently managed a multi-billion-dollar portfolio as senior managing director and global head of real estate investments at PSP Investments, Atkins said in the June 17 press release. He is also former executive vice president and chief transformation officer at AtkinsRéalis.
Also, on Sept. 1, Kate Kenny will join AtkinsRéalis as chief growth officer, based in London, according to the press release. Kenny has decades of experience in infrastructure and related work, having spent the bulk of her career with Jacobs. Kenny was most recently executive vice president and general manager for Jacobs’ European business.
AtkinsRéalis is an international engineering and nuclear company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. It hash an extensive footprint in the Canadian and international nuclear power markets. Its United States branch does much business with the Department of Energy.
