BWCS Names New Chief Engineer

By ExchangeMonitor

Bobby Russell has been named the new chief engineer of B&W Conversion Services, LLC, which operates the Department of Energy’s two depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) conversion plants. Russell previously served as division engineering manager of B&W Pantex, according to a BWCS release issued yesterday. He replaces Kent Fortenberry, who left BWCS at the end of May to become chief engineer at Savannah River Remediation, LLC, the liquid waste contractor for the Savannah River Site. “Bobby brings ideal engineering capability in nuclear operations to this position, with more than 20 years of engineering and operations experience under the National Nuclear Security Administration,” BWCS President and Project Manager John Woolery said in the release.
