Capito to Host EWP Subcommittee Hearing on EPA Regs in W.Va.

By ExchangeMonitor

With Congress out of session until after the Nov. 8 election, Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) is taking a Senate Environment and Public Works subcommittee on the road this week, hosting a field hearing in Logan, W.Va., on the local impacts of the Environmental Protection Agency’s climate regulations. “Local officials and West Virginians will testify on the impacts of EPA regulations and the president’s Clean Power Plan on coal production, employment, air quality and community wellness, climate, and local government operations,” according to a committee release.

The Clean Air and Nuclear Safety Subcommittee hearing is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Chief Logan Conference Center, 1000 Conference Center Drive, Logan, W.Va.
