The Department of Energy’s nuclear cleanup branch has awarded a potential five-year $85-million technical services contract to a team led by South Carolina-based Catawba Engineering and Environmental Services.
The consolidated Technical Support Services contract for DOE’s Office of Environmental Management has been won by Catawba TEAPEC, a small business venture made up of Catawba and Cincinnati-based Trinity Engineering Associates and Project Enhancement Corp.
DOE revealed the award in a Thursday press release from its Cincinnati-based Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center. The new agreement replaces an existing “bridge” indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract already held by the Catawba TEAPEC team.
The existing contract would otherwise expire Aug. 13, according to the news release. DOE said the new contract will take effect following a 90-day transition period.
Under the new deal, the joint venture will provide technical support services to Environmental Management headquarters, field offices and sub-offices on issues ranging from regulatory compliance to tank waste management.
