Clarification

An item in Thursday’s Morning Briefing incorrectly described a 2011 explosion at Sandia National Laboratories’ Plasma Materials Test Facility as being related to work on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor being built in France because of incorrect information provided by the lab. The work conducted at the lab during the experiment was for an undisclosed commercial entity.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
