Here are events related to nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking:

October

22: The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a business meeting where they’ll consider S.2130, to make improvements to the AUKUS partnership, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time in the Senate side of the Capitol, room 116. 

27: The Congressional Nuclear Security Working Group is hosting a reception and discussion on nuclear security modernization at 5 p.m. Eastern time in Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2044. The keynote speaker will be Brandon Williams, head of the National Nuclear Security Administration.

29-30: Conference: Energy Technology and Environmental Business Association 2025 business opportunities conference program starts at 8 a.m. at Knoxville, Tenn., Convention Center. 

30: Huntington Ingalls Industries Earnings call. The defense provider with toes in shipbuilding and nuclear services will hold its third quarter earnings call at 9 a.m. Eastern time.

31: Dominion earnings call Dominion Energy, a major nuclear generator, will hold its third quarter earnings call at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. 

 

November 

04: Earnings CallFluor discusses quarterly financial results in an 8:30 a.m. earnings call. 

04: House Nuclear Cleanup Caucus starts at 5:30 p.m. at Rayburn House Office Building, Rooms 2044-2045, Washington, D.C. (invitation event). 

06: WIPP Forum: A hybrid public forum to discuss work at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant is scheduled for 4 p.m. Mountain Time and will originate from Southeast New Mexico College in Carlsbad, N.M. 

09 – 12 – American Nuclear Society (ANS) 2025 Winter Conference and Expo in Washington Hilton 1919 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, D.C.

13 – Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board Fall meeting on DOE’s plans for spent nuclear fuel management will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time at the Westin Crystal City Reagan National Airport Hotel at 1800 Richmond Highway in Arlington, Va.
