The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will hold a meeting with the Organization of Agreement States and the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors today, at 9:30 A.M. in Rockville, Md. Among the items on the agenda is the topic of Compatibility—the varying degrees of mandatory compliance that the NRC can place on its rules—as well as the lack of low-level radioactive waste disposal options, and the impact of Part 61 on states.
