Constellation has appointed Chris Mudrick as its chief nuclear officer, effective Sept. 29.
Mudrick, who currently serves as Constellation’s senior vice president of generation growth, will replace Dave Rhoades, who is retiring at the end of the year after serving in the lead nuclear role since 2021.
Rhoades has worked at Constellation for more than 40 years, Constellation said in its Sept. 4 press release.
“Dave’s contributions to our nuclear fleet are immeasurable,” Constellation chief generation officer Bryan Hanson said in the press release. “Under his leadership, Constellation routinely led the industry in annual capacity factors and outage durations, two key indicators of reliability and error-free operations.”
“Chris is well suited to follow Dave and his deep industry experience, both domestically and internationally,” Hanson went on to say in the release.
Mudrick worked in various management roles with Constellation/Exelon for over 30 years but left the company in April 2020. From April 2020 to November 2024, Mudrick served as the chief nuclear officer at Bruce Power in Canada.
Mudrick returned to Constellation in December 2024 as its senior vice president of generation growth.
