An article that appeared in the Oct. 19 Weapons Complex Morning Briefing [“Cesium Removal From Tanks Continues at Savannah River Site”] should have said that the Tank-Closure Cesium Removal unit is a demonstration project to provide an additional means of speeding tank closure. The story also should have said that cesium-rich resin removed from Tank 10 by the Tank-Closure Cesium Removal unit will be sent to an interim on-site safe storage area near the H-Tank Farm for future disposal.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
