An article in the Jan. 13 Weapons Complex Morning Briefing [“Tank-side Cesium Removal at Hanford Tracking January Startup”] should have reported subcontractor AVANTech designed the Tank-Side Cesium Removal project at the Hanford Site in Washington state. An article in the same edition, [“Settlement Talks Extended Until April in NMED-DOE Suit Over Los Alamos Cleanup”] should have said DOE and the state of New Mexico were unable to agree on a full-slate of Los Alamos National Laboratory cleanup milestones for fiscal 2021, which ended Sept. 30.
NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
