DOE Announces New Consolidated Business Center Chief

By ExchangeMonitor
The Department of Energy said Monday it had promoted a veteran DOE manager into the position of director of the Cincinnati-based Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC). Ralph Holland has two decades’ experience with DOE, lately as EMCBC deputy director. He also served as a supervisor and manager with the Pentagon’s Defense Logistics Agency. “Ralph has consistently displayed excellent leadership throughout his career at DOE,” Mark Whitney, principal deputy assistant secretary for environmental management, said in a press release. “I am pleased he is now serving in this important role at a center that provides critical support to EM’s mission.”

The EMCBC was formed in June 2004 to offer Office of Environmental Management customers “with required and improved business and technical support services,” according to DOE. “In addition to line management responsibility for EM’s small sites, EMCBC provides consolidated business services to EM in the areas of financial management, cost estimating, project management, human resources, contracting and acquisitions, intergovernmental communications, legal services, property and records management, and technical services,” the press release states.
