The Department of Energy has asked bidders for its contract for support services for the Office of Legacy Management to extend their proposals to the end of 2013. The move comes as part of its corrective action that the Department is taking after two protests were filed with the Government Accountability Office following the award of the contract to Portage in April. “We are now in the process of reevaluating the proposals consistent with the terms and requirements of the solicitation, performing an analysis to ensure maximum value for the American taxpayers,” DOE spokeswoman Lindsey Geisler said in a written response, adding that the contract for incumbent Stoller will be extended until the process is complete.
