DOE cleanup office could issue RFPs this month

The Department of Energy’s $8-billion Office of Environmental Management could be active on new contract solicitations this month, according to a recent procurement update.

According to a notice posted online during the week before Christmas, a final  request for proposals (RFPs) could come out this month for  the Portsmouth Infrastructure Support Services contract in Ohio.

In the same notice, the Cincinnati-based Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center said a draft RFP could also come out this month for the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract.

North Wind Dynamics is entering the fifth and final year of the $164-million landlord services contract at the DOE’s Portsmouth Site in Ohio. That contract started in January 2022 and runs into mid-December of 2026, according to a DOE contracts chart.

Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos (N3B) has a contract, currently valued at nearly $2.3 billion, which started in April 2018 and is currently slated to expire in April.
