North Wind Dynamics is entering the fifth and final year of the $164-million landlord services contract at the DOE’s Portsmouth Site in Ohio. That contract started in January 2022, according to a DOE contracts chart. The existing contract expires in early 2027, DOE said in this week’s press release.
This five-year follow-on contract would be divided into one three-year base period, which includes a 60-day transition period, and one two-year option period. That is according to the Jan. 14 news release from the Cincinnati-based Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center.
Contract proposals are due by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Feb. 13, according to the DOE cover letter posted online. Questions on the solicitation are due by 11:59 p.m. ET and should be emailed to PORTSISS2025@emcbc.doe.gov.
The procurement is a small-business set-aside solicitation with a $47 million size standard, according to the release.
The DOE Environmental Management office could be active on new contract solicitations this month, according to a recent procurement update.
According to a notice posted online during the week before Christmas, the Consolidated Business Center said a draft RFP could also come out this month for the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract.
Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos (N3B) has a contract, currently valued at nearly $2.3 billion, which started in April 2018 and is currently slated to expire in April.
