DOE: DRAFT RFP FOR PADUCAH INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRACT COMING SOON

By ExchangeMonitor

A draft Request for Proposals for the new Paducah infrastructure services contract is set to be issued within the next 15 to 45 days, the Department of Energy said yesterday. The new contract is being set-aside for small businesses, with the procurement to use a size standard of $35.5 million, according to a notice posted on the FedBizOpps website. The new contract is expected to run for up to five years, with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, and will have Firm-Fixed-Price, Cost Reimbursement, and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract line items (CLINs).

Work to be performed under the new contract, according to DOE, will include surveillance, maintenance and repair of facilities; janitorial services; grounds maintenance, snow removal, and pest control; roadway/parking lot maintenance; computing, telecommunication, and cyber security; fleet management; real and personal property management; records management and document control; safeguards and security; environment, safety, health, and quality (ESH&Q) program; and training services. DOE currently plans to issue a final RFP for the new contract “in or around” the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2014, with an award decision to be made “in or about” the first quarter of FY 2015, the notice says.
