DOE LEADERSHIP, CORPORATE EXECUTIVES GATHER TO TALK CONTRACT MGMT.

By ExchangeMonitor

DOE Cleanup chief David Huizenga and senior managers within the Office of Environmental Management are set to meet with corporate executives from the parent companies of all prime cleanup contractors at DOE headquarters in Washington tomorrow afternoon for a workshop on contract performance and management. The five-hour workshop, billed as a followup to a series of meetings in 2010 focused on improving EM’s acquisition process, will feature remarks from Huizenga, Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman and Under Secretary for Nuclear Security Tom D’Agostino. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition and Contract Management Jack Surash will talk to the group about “post-award trends” from EM’s perspective before the attendees develop a list of issues and recommendations for DOE to consider.
