By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy has begun conducting market research for a new prime laundry decontamination services contractor at Hanford. According to a sources sought notice issued late last week, the work would entail wet wash laundry and decontamination services for regulated Radiological Protective Clothing (RPC), non-regulated items, and respirator face pieces. If a solicitation is issued, according to the notice, the currently envisioned contract would be set-aside for small businesses and would run for up to five years, consisting of a two-year base period and three one-year option periods.

Interested firms have until March 22 to contact the Contracting Specialist via e-mail at Brenda.Valadez@rl.doe.gov. “Responses should provide company name, address, point of contact, telephone and fax number, business size and status (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), etc.), and must include a capability statement that addresses the company’s qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described,” the notice says. The full notice can be found here.
