DOE LOOKS TO WRAP UP NEGOTIATIONS ON IDAHO CONTRACT EXTENSION IN AUGUST

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy is looking to wrap up in August negotiations with CH2M-WG Idaho on a multi-year extension to its current contract to perform cleanup work at the Idaho site, according to a DOE spokeswoman. DOE and CWI have been in talks for months on a planned three-year extension to CWI’s current contract at Idaho, which is currently set to expire Sept. 30, 2012. “Regarding the ICP [Idaho Cleanup Project] contract extension, we are anticipate having the extension work negotiated and finalized sometime in August,” Danielle Miller, a spokeswoman for the DOE Idaho Operations Office, said in a written response last week. “We are continuing to negotiate the extension work scope, cost and schedule. In parallel to this we continue to maintain an updated Request for Proposal in case the extension negotiations are not successful,” she said.
