DOE Officially Announces Grace Bochenek as New NETL Director

By ExchangeMonitor
Dr. Grace Bochenek, as expected, was officially announced yesterday as the new Director of the Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory. Weapons Complex Morning Briefing first reported two weeks ago that Bochenek was DOE’s choice to replace acting NETL Director Scott Klara, who has led the lab since taking over for former Director Anthony Cugini last fall. She last served as Chief Technology Officer for the U.S. Army Material Command, and her previous positions included serving as director of the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Research division, according to DOE. In her new role at NETL, Dr. Bochenek will oversee DOE’s lead laboratory for fossil energy and a portfolio of research critical to the Department’s work addressing our nation’s energy and environmental challenges," Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz said in a statement. "She will lead NETL as it seeks transformative scientific and technological solutions in support of our nation’s all-of-the-above energy strategy.”
