Companies interested in bidding on the new Paducah infrastructure contract are getting a little extra time to submit questions on the Request for Proposals to the Department of Energy. In a notice issued Nov. 24, DOE said it is reopening the Q&A period through noon on Dec. 1 to “allow Offerors to submit questions to clarify answers to prior questions and to clarify changes in the RFP amendments.” DOE added, “It is not the intent of the Government to reopen the Q&A period to address new questions that should have been provided during the initial question submittal period ending October 30, 2014.” Bids on the new Paducah infrastructure contract, which is being set-aside for small businesses, are currently due by Dec. 12.
