DOE to Issue Final RFP for New Paducah Infrastructure Contract Next Month

By ExchangeMonitor
A final Request for Proposals for the new Paducah infrastructure services contract is set to be issued in September, the Department of Energy said in a notice posted yesterday. The new contract is being set-aside for small businesses that do not exceed a $35.5 million size standard, and is expected to run for up to five years—consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year options—with a total estimated value of approximately $100 million. The contract is anticipated to have firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement, and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract line items, according to DOE. Infrastructure services at the Paducah site are currently being performed by Swift and Staley under a contract set to expire in March 2015.
