Energy secretary and acting NNSA boss testify in separate hearings Wednesday

The House Appropriations Energy and Water subcommittee will hear from Secretary of Energy Chris Wright Wednesday morning, while the House Armed Services Strategic Forces subcommittee will hear from the acting administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration Teresa Robbins later that day.

Wright will testify in a budget hearing on the Department of Energy. The hearing begins at 10 a.m. in Rayburn House Office Building, room 2359.

Robbins will testify alongside three other witnesses at 3 p.m. Eastern Time in Rayburn House Office Building, room 2118, in Washington. The witnesses will all testify on nuclear forces, atomic energy defense activities and programmatic updates.

Brandon Williams, who is nominated to take over Robbins’ administrator position, has moved out of committee as of May 1 and is on the Senate Executive calendar to vote for his confirmation. A date has not yet been set.
