EPM Director Hickman Retires

Michael Hickman, Director of the Office of Enterprise Project Management (EPM) at the National Nuclear Security Administration, retired May 29, according to an NNSA press release. Hickman served 34 years in government, spending approximately 25 years in senior leadership positions across the Energy Department and NNSA. As EPM Director, Hickman addressed deeply embedded contract and project management challenges pointed out by the Government Accountability office, the Inspector General and Congress. Hickman has held a variety of positions in DOE, including Acting Deputy Manager for the Los Alamos Field Office in 2013, Technical Director of the Office of Defense Programs Project Management and Systems Support from 2005 to 2010, and Construction Manager of that office from 2004 to 2005.
