FLUOR OFFICIALLY NAMES CAROL JOHNSON NEXT HEAD OF SRNS
Fluor officially announced yesterday that Carol Johnson will be the next president and CEO of M&O contractor Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, as first reported by WC Monitor earlier this month. Johnson is a former URS official who most recently was head of Washington Closure Hanford and before that worked on the Sellafield project in the United Kingdom. “Carol Johnson is a proven leader with extensive industry and global leadership experience making her an ideal fit to oversee SRNS,” Bruce Stanski, president of Fluor’s Government Group, said in a statement. “Carol is one of the most respected leaders in our industry. By placing her in this key leadership position, Fluor is demonstrating its continuing commitment to help SRNS meet DOE’s goal of achieving meaningful and sustainable mission growth at Savannah River. I am confident that she will be invaluable to the success of SRNS.”
Johnson will replace Dwayne Wilson, who is expected to leave SRNS in mid to late June for another post at Fluor. “A proven leader with extensive industry experience, Carol’s track record is exactly what is needed to take SRNS to the next level of performance,” Wilson said in a message to employees yesterday.
