LOOK AHEAD

Here’s a look at the events we will be keeping an eye on this week:

  • Three Administration officials will testify about its proliferation prevention programs before the Senate Armed Services Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 222 of the Russell Senate Office Building. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs Madelyn Creedon, Defense Threat Reduction Agency Director Ken Myers, and NNSA nonproliferation chief Anne Harrington will testify before the panel.
  • Rep. Mike Rogers (Ala.), the chairman of the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee, will speak at the Capitol Hill Club at 8 a.m. Wednesday on “Nuclear and Missile Defense Modernization."
  • Acting NNSA Administrator Neile Miller will testify before the Senate Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Room 192 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
  • On April 25, this year’s set of House Cleanup Caucus briefings is scheduled to get underway with an overview presentation by DOE cleanup chief David Huizenga. The briefing is scheduled to be held at 8:30 a.m. in Room 122 of the Cannon House Office Building in Washington.
  • On April 25, the DOE Office of Environmental Management is scheduled to hold its first Site-Specific Advisory Board chairs’ meeting via webinar. Among those scheduled to present during the meeting is DOE cleanup chief David Huizenga, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Planning & Budget Terry Tyborowski and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Waste Management Frank Marcinowski.
