MAGNOX STANDSTILL PERIOD ENDS TODAY

By ExchangeMonitor
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s standstill period comes to an end today for potential challenges to its recent award of the Magnox contract to the Cavendish Fluor Partnership. “The UK and EU procurement regulations require a standstill period (10 days minimum) triggered by the provision of debriefing information and during which unsuccessful bidders may request further information to understand the basis of the decision to award. The standstill period for the Magnox/RSRL competition will end on Monday,” NDA spokesman Deborah Ward said in a written response.

Reactor Site Solutions, the EnergySolutions-Bechtel team, has said it is considering a challenge and  UK Nuclear Restoration Ltd., comprised of AMEC, Atkins and Rolls Royce, also said it is looking into the possibility. The third unsuccessful Magnox bidder, CAS Restoration Partnership, made up of CH2M Hill, AREVA and Serco, has not yet weighed in publicly.“The nature of any information exchanged between the NDA and bidders remains commercially confidential at this point in time,” Ward said.
