MGMT. CHANGES UNDERWAY AT TANK WASTE CONTRACTORS

By ExchangeMonitor

Top-level management changes are in the works at the Department of Energy’s two main tank waste contractors, URS confirmed late yesterday. Mike Johnson is set to retire at the end of June as president of URS-led Washington River Protection Solutions, the tank farms contractor at Hanford. Johnson is set to be replaced by Dave Olson, who currently heads URS-led Savannah River Remediation, LLC, the liquid waste contractor at the Savannah River Site. At SRR, Olson will be replaced on an acting basis beginning July 1 by Stuart MacVean, who currently serves as SRR Operations and Deputy Project Manager. A search for a permanent replacement for Olson at SRR is set to get underway immediately and expected to take several weeks to complete.
