NAVFAC Issues Sources Sought for Kings Bay Support

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) on Friday released a sources sought notice and questionnaire for Base Operations Support (BOS) at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. “Any resulting contract will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP) with Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) provisions,” the notice states. “The contract term will be a base period of one year, with four one year option periods, and three award option periods. The FFP base year requirement will be the overall minimum guarantee.” According to the notice, a phase-in period will precede the anticipated performance start date of Dec. 1, 2016. Among the activities the acquisition would entail are security operations, facility management and investment, base support vehicles and equipment and electrical, wastewater, steam, water and telecommunications services.

The questionnaire seeks information relating to responders’ subcontracting procedures, work locations, likelihood of bidding, and previous BOS experience, including chronologies, specific services provided and current contracts The response deadline is 2 p.m. on Jan. 16.
