Bechtel-led Consolidated Nuclear Security unveiled its organizational structure yesterday and shed more light on its executive management team according to a message to employees from President Jim Haynes. The organization will be structured with Pantex and Y-12 reporting up to Haynes and Chief Operating Officer Jim Allen, with support organizations known as Mission Support; Mission Engineering; Safeguards, Security and Emergency; and Mission Assurance located parallel to the sites in the structure. Transformation, Nuclear Safety Culture, the Uranium Processing Facility and Program Integration will also report separately up to Haynes and Allen. “Our organization structure is thus designed to be simple and mission centric, so that every position in CNS is clearly focused on, connected with, and engaged in delivering the mission,” Haynes said.
In addition to Allen, a longtime veteran of the Naval Reactors program, Haynes said SOC executive and Los Alamos National Laboratory official Ken Freeman would serve as the Senior Vice President for Safeguards, Security and Emergency Services while Y-12 nuclear criticality official and former Albuquerque Operations Office chief Rick Glass will serve as the Senior Vice President for Mission Assurance. Darrell Graddy, the Vice President of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions, will serve as the Senior Vice President for Mission Support.
