NNSA’S WANZER TO HEAD UP COMBINED OR-PX SECURITY PROCUREMENT

By ExchangeMonitor

Senior National Nuclear Security Administration protective force official Steve Wanzer is heading up the agency’s combined Oak Ridge/Pantex protective force contract, according to recently released procurement documents. Wanzer, a senior security specialist within the agency’s Office of Defense Nuclear Security, will address prospective bidders for the combined contract during a presolicitation conference Tuesday at the Pantex Plant. The NNSA has previously declined to specify the membership of the Source Evaluation Board for the procurement. Bidders will get an up close look at the agency’s plans during meetings at both Pantex and the Y-12 National Security Complex this week. In addition to a presolicitation conference and site tour at the Pantex Plant from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the agency will conduct one-on-one meetings and a site tour at the Y-12 National Security Complex Thursday. The briefing charts for the meetings have already been posted on the procurement website and are available by clicking here.
