NRC assistant general counsel leaves

By ExchangeMonitor

Nuclear Regulatory Commission assistant general counsel for legislation, ethics, and administrative law Tison Campbell announced his Sept. 5 departure from the agency via LinkedIn.

Starting as an attorney in the NRC’s Office of General Counsel, Campbell spent nearly 20 years working in various high-level legal roles at the nuclear regulatory agency. Campbell served as the assistant general counsel in his current role during the past three years.

In Campbell’s LinkedIn post, he thanked many of his former NRC colleagues, including former NRC chair Stephen Burns, who hired Campbell, back when Burns himself was in the NRC legal department.

“Stephen Burns, thank you for hiring me and being an amazing mentor and leader,” Campbell wrote in his post.

Campbell earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Virginia in 2003 and earned his law degree in juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2006.
