National Security Technologies (NSTec) this month is celebrating 10 years of service as the management and operating contractor for the Nevada National Security Site, with additional operations across the country including in Los Alamos and Albuquerque, N.M.; Santa Barbara and Livermore, Calif.; and Washington, D.C.

NSTec, which employs 2,100 of the 2,900 total NNSS employees, supports the National Nuclear Security Administration through stockpile stewardship, counterterrorism training, dirty bomb detection, emergency response to nuclear and radiological incidents, first responder training, and other nonproliferation activities.

As a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education advocate, “NSTec has given more than $1.2 million to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has funded more than $1 million in scholarships over the last 10 years,” the company said in an announcement last week.
